Denise Allen brings passion and commitment to her profession as a Personal Trainer and Nutrition Therapy Practitioner. Denise leads by example ~ she practices what she preaches and successfully teaches her clients to follow her lead. Denise started her career as a group fitness instructor in 1986. Her professional accomplishments also include a Professional Dancer (NBA Trailblazers) and Dance Team Coach (Lake Oswego High School). Denise coached her students to three consecutive State Championships. Denise actively competes in triathlon, road races and the Portland to Coast Walk.

David Walker Clapp
SUCK IT UP Fitness
David began his pursuit toward health and wellness in 1979. Overcoming childhood illnesses made him discover his passion for simply feeling good and strong. After earning his Bachelors Degree (1987) in Exercise Physiology and Athletic Training, David’s career quickly became highly diverse. He was a Group Exercise Instructor all through college and a Physical Therapy Intern immediataly after college. He was also the Head Athletic Trainer for a professional soccer team (NY/NJ Eagles) and an assistant Athletic Trainer and Strength Coach at Pace University. Additionally, David was a college professor of Exercise Science.
David started his first personal training business, All American Fitness, Inc, in 1989. In 1998, David moved to the Pacific Northwest and decided to take a hiatus from his fitness career to pursue sales. David did quite well, becoming a top-producing sales rep in the entire Northwest. David also went from being a 175 lbs triathlete to a 230 lbs sales executive. That’s correct – David became a stress eater and got FAT! David also understands how to break the bad habits and attitudes that lead to ill health. In 2002, David returned to Fitness Training and rediscovered his passion for health and fitness.
In 2004, David started his second personal training business, SUCK IT UP Fitness, Inc. He also organized and lead a highly successful Boot Camp training for 12 consecutive years. David appeared on the reality television show ‘Little People, Big World’ as the Fitness Trainer for Amy and Zach Roloff. In 2016, David started his third personal training business, PEAK Personal Training, LLC. David also speaks regularly on a variety of topics to many local schools and businesses.

As a division I collegiate athlete, Kimi pursued her passion and received her BS in Exercise Science and MS in Sports Medicine – Athletic Training. She is a certified personal trainer and athletic trainer with 10 years experience teaching group classes, as a strength and conditioning coach, sport specific and functional training, gait analysis, running clinics, and rehabilitation. Kimi specializes in exercise for cancer as an ACSM certified cancer exercise trainer and works for OHSU as a research assistant studying the effects of exercise on various cancers. As well as working with other health and orthopedic conditions like Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, pregnancy, and diabetes as a certified lifestyle coach by the National Diabetes Prevention Program. Making the move to PEAK, will provide the intimacy and tools for an unrivaled training experience needed for her clients to grow and improve functionally, she is excited to be able to empower all to reach their goals (PEAK).

Having played sports and staying active most of his young life, Grant soon discovered his passion for health and fitness. In 2012 he turned his passion into a career after graduating from the National Personal Training Institute in Beaverton. From 2013- 2016 he was the Fitness Manager at Boom Fitness. Grant created an environment for other trainers to learn and grow in their profession through weekly education based meetings focusing around anatomy and exercise philosophy. Over the years Grant has worked with a wide variety of clients and various goals helping him become a well rounded trainer. With a strong drive and dedication to all of his clients, he is determined to do everything in his power to create a truly holistic training environment. Understanding that you can’t separate the body from the mind, he does not just focus on calories burnt and weights lifted, but instead focuses on each individuals specific circumstance life may throw their way. Always striving to be a life long student, Grant stays current with the latest health and fitness research by attending conferences, reading books by the top authors in the feild and following the latest podcasts so he has all the tools to give his clients the best training experience possible!
